The history of DRAGON TIGER

Dragon Tiger is a simple game with interesting origins. It adapts the 12,000-year-old East Asian art tradition of the dragon and tiger, while adapting Baccarat and Casino War into a 2-card game, pitting the dragon and the tiger against each other. In East Asian art, the dragon and the tiger spirits are so wildly different yet at the same time similar—which pits the two creatures destined to be mortal enemies. Two cards are drawn, one for the Dragon and one for the Tiger, then revealing which side’s card has the higher value when the betting round ends.

Dragon Tiger’s betting system is adapted from Baccarat, while the rules and the game itself is based on Casino War.

DRAGON TIGER Rules

In Dragon Tiger the game is played with 8 decks of cards. In concept, it is one of the simplest table games there as players can bet on whether ‘Dragon’ or ‘Tiger’ will have a higher value or result in a tie. The dealer will reveal 2 cards face up, once representing each of the Dragon and Tiger. In this game the King is the highest and Ace is the lowest. If Dragon and Tiger are of the same value, then it will be considered as a ‘Tie’ game.
